For a more sophisticated calculation of the tank volume, a formula is used which considers the air flow required by the system over a given interval, as a function of the maximum acceptable pressure decay over that interval.

For a quicker calculation, we have adopted the following formula, applicable to rotary compressors:

Tank Volume (m³) = 0.1 x Total System Flow (m³/min).
