For a more sophisticated calculation of the receiver volume, a formula is adopted that considers the air flow required by the system over a certain interval, based on the maximum acceptable pressure decay within that interval.
For a quicker calculation, we adopt the following formula, applicable to rotary compressors:
Tank Volume (m³) = 0.1 x Total System Flow (m³/min).
