PowerPack Flex DD

Rotary Biogas Compressor (Screw)

Metalplan's Biogas & CNG business unit incorporates our four decades of expertise in compressed air into clean energy sources, through state-of-the-art technologies and equipment, such as the PowerPack Flex DD rotary (screw) biogas compressor.

Biogas is a renewable energy source, generated by the decomposition of organic matter, such as agricultural waste, food waste and sewage. The whole process of capturing, purifying and using biogas for energy receives a sustainability label, whether it's by lowering the carbon footprint, reducing greenhouse gases or reusing solid organic material as fertilizer.

Metalplan is committed to promoting competitiveness combined with environmental preservation. We are the first compressor manufacturer in the world to be ISO 50001 - Energy Management certified.

The PowerPack Flex DD biogas compressor compresses the gas supplied by the biodigester at a pressure of up to 20 bar, to generate electricity or upgrade it into biomethane, a clean fuel that can be directly incorporated into the existing natural gas infrastructure.

The equipment offers a flow rate of up to 3000 M³/h and a power output of up to 450 kW, with high energy efficiency, thanks to a combination that includes: a high-performance electric motor, IR3 standard, for classified areas; direct coupling between the motor and the compressor unit; frequency inverter/speed variator, for optimized operation; and water or air cooling, providing high isothermal efficiency. The synthetic lubricant used is specially formulated for use with biogas.

To guarantee total safety when using the equipment, the pressure vessels are designed, built and tested in accordance with ASME, sec.VIII, Div. 1 and NR-13.

Make sure you get the advantages of this Metalplan biogas compressor for your business without worrying about building a machine room. The equipment has a compact layout and can be installed over time. Easy maintenance is another benefit, thanks to the optimized space and the spin-on type oil filters and separators.
