The ISO 50001 international standard was created to increase the energy efficiency of organizations, thereby making them more competitive and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
These objectives have been fully in line with Metalplan's pillars since the company was founded four decades ago. That's why we are the world's first ISO 50001 - Energy Management certified manufacturer in the compressed air, gases and industrial refrigeration segment.
Metalplan's Energy Management System was implemented at the Cajamar (SP) plant, based on the definition of an energy policy. Objectives and targets were set for reducing energy consumption, with the adoption of continuous improvement actions.
The first certification was granted in 2012, months after the creation of ISO 50001, and the certificate has been renewed ever since, proving Metalplan's commitment to energy efficiency, the basis for sustainability and the competitiveness of companies.
