As the first global manufacturer of compressors, chillers, dryers, and gas generators to obtain ISO 50001 certification - Energy Management, Metalplan is the absolute leader in screw compressors up to 25 hp in the country. Metalplan is the world's first manufacturer in the segment of compressed air, gases, and industrial refrigeration to be ISO 50001 - Energy Management certified, demonstrating its commitment to energy efficiency, the basis for sustainability and competitiveness in businesses.

Founded in 1986, it has a production area of 6,000 m², where it develops innovative equipment with a high rate of nationalization, exporting to more than 20 countries.

The Metalplan Distributors and Authorized Services network has more than 300 highly specialized companies and extensive geographic coverage, capable of serving more than 100,000 operating equipment, in companies of all sizes and sectors.

In recent years, Metalplan has expanded its boundaries into disruptive technologies in gases and renewable energies, such as on-site generation and compression of nitrogen, oxygen, biogas, biomethane, CO2, and CNG.

Support for science and technology

Through its involvement in the Brazilian Association of Machinery and Equipment, Metalplan conceived and led the effort to build the first compressed air and gas laboratory in the southern hemisphere, located at IPT - Institute of Technological Research. The LASAG is capable of conducting tests with state-of-the-art resources and reports issued with impartiality to ensure the credibility that manufacturers and users need. The industry won, society won, Brazil won.

In addition to LASAG, Metalplan has played an important role in the technological evolution of the sector in several other institutional actions. Among them, the pioneering translation in 1992 of ISO 8573 standard, an international reference for highly efficient compressed air systems, focusing on its contamination level and quality classes (purity), according to each type of application.

We chaired the Sector Chamber of Compressed Air and Gases of ABIMAQ (2004-2008) and coordinated the publication of the Compressed Air and Gas Manual (Compressed Air and Gas Institute - USA) in 2001; and the Committee for the Study of Air Compressors and Air Compressor Systems of ABNT.

Preserving memory

Between 1914 and 1983, the Perus Pirapora Railway transported millions of tons of limestone from the mines of Cajamar to the Portland Cement Company of Perus, uniquely contributing to the development of Brazil. Declared a historical heritage by CONDEPHAAT in 1986, its route crosses Metalplan from end to end, and its heritage includes a large set of rails, gondolas, passenger cars, and steam locomotives, some over 120 years old.

In partnership with the Institute of Railways and Preservation of Cultural Heritage, Metalplan maintains a complete composition within its facilities, with twenty wagons and a locomotive, forming a museum nucleus of great relevance.
