obtain ISO 50001 certification - Energy Management

The absolute leader in screw compressors up to 25 hp in the country, Metalplan is the world's first manufacturer in the compressed air, gases and industrial refrigeration segment to be ISO 50001 - Energy Management certified, demonstrating its commitment to energy efficiency, the basis for sustainability and the competitiveness of companies.

Founded in 1986, it has a production area of 6,000 m², where it develops innovative equipment with a high rate of nationalization, exporting to more than 20 countries.

Metalplan's network of Authorized Distributors and Services has more than 300 highly specialized companies with a wide geographical coverage, capable of servicing more than 100,000 pieces of equipment in operation in companies of all sizes and sectors.

In recent years, Metalplan has been expanding its frontiers into disruptive technologies in gases and renewable energies, such as the generation and on-site compression of nitrogen, oxygen, biogas, biomethane,_CO2 and CNG.

Support for science and technology

Through its work with the Brazilian Machinery and Equipment Association, Metalplan conceived and led the effort to build the first compressed air and gases laboratory in the southern hemisphere, located at the IPT - Technological Research Institute. LASAG is capable of carrying out tests with ultramodern resources and reports issued with impartiality and impartiality, to guarantee the credibility that manufacturers and users so desperately need. Industry has won, society has won and Brazil has won.

In addition to LASAG, Metalplan has played an important role in the technological evolution of the sector through various other institutional actions. Among them was the pioneering translation, in 1992, of the ISO 8573 standard, an international reference for high-efficiency compressed air systems, focusing on their level of contamination and quality classes (purity), according to each type of application.

We chaired ABIMAQ's Compressed Air and Gases Sector Chamber (2004-2008) and coordinated the publication of the Compressed Air and Gases Manual (Compressed Air and Gas Institute - USA) in 2001; and ABNT's Air Compressors and Compressed Air Systems Study Commission.

Preserving memory

Between 1914 and 1983, the Perus Pirapora Railway transported millions of tons of limestone from the Cajamar mines to the Perus Portland Cement Company, making a unique contribution to Brazil's development. Listed by CONDEPHAAT in 1986, its route crosses Metalplan from end to end and its heritage includes a wide range of tracks, gondolas, passenger wagons and steam locomotives, some of which are over 120 years old.

In partnership with the Institute of Railways and Cultural Heritage Preservation, Metalplan keeps a complete train set on its premises, with twenty wagons and a locomotive, forming a museum of great importance.
